This is a weekend position (Saturday and Sunday), ideal for someone who enjoys being on their feet, engaging with customers, and working in a creative, community-focused environment.

This role is ideal for someone who is present, dependable, and enjoys staying actively engaged throughout their shift.

Daily Activities

• Deliver exceptional, customer-centered service through product knowledge, problem-solving, and genuine connection

• Welcome customers and assist with locating products, materials, and solutions

• Maintain a positive, energetic, and professional presence on the sales floor

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate checkout experiences

• Execute cash handling and POS transactions according to store standards

• Assist with inventory, pricing, restocking, and special orders

• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment

• Communicate clearly and professionally via email, phone, and online orders

• Assist with visual merchandising and maintaining store presentation standards

• Support creation of in-store and social media content that reflects our art culture and values

• Follow directions, prioritize tasks, and work independently with minimal supervision

• Other duties as assigned

General Requirements

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable availability for weekend shifts (day and/or evening); some holidays may be required

Competencies

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Personal responsibility, integrity, and teamwork

• Comfort with computers, POS systems, and cash handling

• Detail-oriented, efficient, and organized

• Able to stay focused and productive during busy, multi-tasking environments

• Ability to learn and retain product knowledge

• Accurate with basic math, measurements, and material cutting

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs using proper lifting techniques

• Prolonged standing, walking, and occasional ladder use

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
