Reopening Saturday November 22nd
We’re so relieved to share this update — we’ve received a clean air-quality report for the retail side of the shop, which means we can safely reopen the store!
Thank you for your patience, kindness, and encouragement throughout this whole asphalt incident. Your messages and support have meant everything during these stressful weeks.
While the retail space is cleared for customers, the classroom will remain closed. Even with clean readings, we won’t reopen the classroom until the new fresh-air intake system is fully installed and functioning. This is essential for longer stays in the space, and we’re currently waiting for construction to begin. If you’re signed up for classes, we will keep you updated!
For now, I’m excited to welcome you back into the retail shop. We’ll be open during our regular hours, and you’re welcome to stop by, browse, say hi, or pick up supplies. And we hope you’ll join us for a fun Small Business Saturday—stay tuned!

Update: Nov 13
Hi friends — a quick update. During a recent roofing project, some asphalt/tar material leaked into our classroom area. We had air-quality testing done in the classroom, and now we want to make sure both the classroom and retail space are tested properly before reopening.
Out of an abundance of caution, we’ll remain temporarily closed until we get the all-clear (hopefully on Monday Nov 17).
Your health and safety come first, and we want to be absolutely certain the space is safe before we welcome you back in.
Thank you so much for your patience, understanding, and support. We’ll update you as soon as we know more. 💛
