Queer Art Show Call for Artists

Drop off:
Reception: First Friday, March 1 (5-8pm)
Show: March 1 - March 24
Pick up: March 26- April 1

Our show is centered around what being Queer means to you as an artist. This can be your queer journey, how your queer identity impacts your art, your struggles or joys, or a general idea of what queerness is. Pieces should reflect your personal definition of queerness, whatever that is for you.

This is a community art show for Salem and Mid-Willamette Valley artists. One entry per artist, however if you have more that you'd like for us to consider, email and supply photos.

The application/submission deadline might close early due to limited space. First come, first serve so get your entries in early!

All work must be ready to hang with appropriate wire hardware to be accepted. Print your name on the back of your artwork along with the title of your piece. Only one piece may be submitted per person, unless approved by the Art Department.

There is no jury fee and no jury, however art must be family-friendly and not promote substance use. The Art Department and Salem Capital Pride will make final decisions on pieces included in the show.

Art must be dropped off and picked up by the artist. Work must be picked up within 15 days after the exhibition end date. No shipping is available.

Sales are coordinated by the artist. The Art Department and Salem Capital Pride will not take any proceeds from the sale. The art must remain in the show until the close of the show. Artwork will only be released to the artist after the show. It is the responsibility of the artist to schedule payment and pickup with the new owner without any assistance from the Art Department or Salem Capital Pride.

While the Art Department and Salem Capital Pride will make every effort to keep your artwork safe, it is the responsibly of the artist to insure the full value of your artwork. The Art Department nor Salem Capital Pride is responsible for lost, stolen or damaged art.
