Instructor Austin Rich

Austin began making Zine's when he was in High School, when editing the School Literary Journal proved to be frustrating when the school would censor the student work. His first zine's were collections of rejected or "controversial" student writing, with pointed anti-censorship editorials that got the notice of the local papers. Since then, he's produced a number of Zines in Eugene, Portland and now Salem. While he's done music journalism, personal stories and thematic one-off publications, much of Austin's work is now in the fiction vein, though he still writes occasional essays for other publications, and blogs online at austinrich.org.
