You could choose to use watercolor paper cut or torn to a favorite size, i.e., 6x6, 5x7, 8x8, etc. I would keep the size small and intimate, so you are able to complete several. Working in a series and working on the same size substrate reads nicely when several are completed. You could also choose to work on cradled wood panels in a similar size as listed above.
