Mixed-media and poetry-writing class based on Jessica's new book, My Life in Moments: A Poetic Memoir. Students will be instructed through a "snapshot poem" exercise and guided to create a mix-media art piece based on their poem. A short talk about storytelling through art + words will be given at the beginning to set the tone. This class is a playful way to give homage to your younger self, a loved one, or even a pet (anything really). No experience needed. Come solo or bring a friend! Students will walk away with an art piece they can keep for themselves or give as a gift.
