Join GG for a heartwarming craft workshop where you will create "Earth Love Treasure Boxes", beautiful, personalized keepsake boxes designed to hold the special natural treasures you've collected over the years, like feathers, shells, stones, and bits of wood.
This workshop is open to all ages and encourages a deep connection with nature and creativity. Using decoupage techniques, participants will transform simple book-board boxes into unique works of art. Bring your favorite papers, ephemera, and textured materials such as vintage maps, botanical prints, and natural fibers to create layered, meaningful designs.
Throughout the workshop, we will explore themes of memory, nature, and storytelling, making each box a reflection of the treasures and experiences it holds. - Apron
- Scissors
- Acrylic fluid matte (or gloss) medium
- Glue brush
- A variety of decorative papers, ephemera, maps, music sheets, etc. (textured papers can work if they relatively flat like the corrugate used on the box in the class photo example)
- Old drawings or paintings (on paper)
- Glitter or other bling that lies flat
- Found natural objects that are flat (pressed leaves, dried flowers)
- GG will supply one 8" x 8" x 4" book-board box with lid
