Working on a long, skinny board (4 x 36 inches), we will create a series of stacked bands of collage and paint, individual and overlapping. We will paint our boards, create some painted papers to use in our collages, bring a stash of personal collage materials, and then playfully begin to glue down paper and add acrylic paint along the journey from top to bottom, bottom to top, or anywhere in between, resulting in conversations between paper and paint. What do we reveal? What do we conceal? Let's make a glorious mess and go home with a completed, tall, narrow piece of art.
